Happy Friday!

Our next worship gathering is this Sunday, September 9th @ the Golden Gate Rec Center at our former usual time: 4:30-6:00pm including a potluck dinner at the end. Here's the facebook event link: https://www.facebook.com/events/722843568052223

Several folks have also expressed a desire to get together weekly on a weekday evening to learn more about the Bible and discuss how it can impact our everyday lives.

We are planning to get something going around the middle of September, so if you haven't already, please let me know if you might be interested in that and if so which evening might work best for you.

Our weekly pre-school play group is starting back up again on September 12th. It's on Wednesday mornings from 10:00-11:45am at the Golden Gate Rec Center. If you, or anyone you know, is interested just come on by any time!

As we continue our new series this fall discovering the way Jesus surprised people and brought the unexpected, I'm hoping to restart up post on my blog. I haven't started writing in it yet this fall, but hopefully I'll get something up there in the next week or two. Check it out, hopefully it will spur you on to reflect yourself on what God is up to in your life and how you can participate in his tribe. :) Here's the link to the blog: psteveblog.wordpress.com

A couple dates to mark on your calendars for later in September: on the 23rd Steve will be preaching at Berkeley Tribe in the morning at 11am, so come on out for that.

And then on the 29th we're tentatively going to have a game day/hang out at Steve & Audrey's house in the afternoon, more details to come on that.

Fall Sunday Lunches
Plan on joining us for lunch after services this fall. It's a great way to connect with the Tribe family by sharing a meal and life. If you would like to help set/clean-up for lunch or prepare your favorite food to share, contact Andrew or Stefan.

COMMUNITY GROUP

Tuesday Night Community Group
6:30-7:45pm @ the Parks
Join us at the Tuesday Night Homegroup this coming week at the Park's house. This is a great time for community, worship and Jesus. Dinner will be provided. Tuesday nights 6:30pm-7:45pm-come out and join us! And children are welcome! Contact Andrew Park for more info.

College Bible Study
Tuesday 7:30-9:00pm @ Tribe Nursery
If you're a college student and would like to join a weekly Bible, we'll be starting one up focused on students. We'll talk about Jesus's parables and how His teachings can be applied in our everyday life. If you're looking for a study and place to make friends, this is a great option. We'll meet Wednesday 7:30-9:00pm. Talk to Alex Mead for details!

Science Playgroup - ON SUMMER BREAK
Tuesdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm
The science playgroup is for parents and caregivers with their children ages 0-5. Contact Karen for details (see contact form below).

Tribe Mom's Group / Playgroup @ Tribe Nursery
Thursdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm
An informal playgroup for kids age 0-5 and their parents.  Connect with other local moms while the kids play. The playgroup time is the perfect space to invite your neighbor moms to join us. Address: 2509 Hillegass Ave, Berkeley, 94704. Contact Tamela for more information.

Back to School Grants
This is an opportunity to give kids a great start to the new school and to help them succeed. Please help Trybe help 10 Oakland families with start of the school year supplies and expenses. We are hoping to raise $1000 to match $1000 a donor comitted to Trybe for a total of $2000 or $200 per family. If we raise more, Trybe will give out more grants to families.
