Daylight Savings Reminder: Turn Back the Clocks!
Daylight savings begins this Saturday night/Sunday morning. A reminder to turn your clocks back an hour Saturday night: Get an extra hour of sleep!

Tribe Theological Training @ Tribe Nursery
Tuesday, November 7th, 7:00pm-8:00pm
This Tuesday Pastor Dennis will be teaching on Pelagius and Augustine. Join us to learn more about the exciting 4th & 5th centuries debate over merit vs. grace and works vs. faith (It really is interesting stuff!). Tribe Theological Training is every 2nd & 4th Tuesday nights in the Tribe Nursery. Whether you want to pursue a call to Ministry, develop your spiritual formation, or just want to know more about why we believe what we believe, these sessions are for you! All are welcome. Thanksgiving Day Gatherings
If you are looking for a place to spend Thanksgiving, let us know! The Heidas will be opening their home for a big Thanksgiving celebration and would love to have you join them. Let Dennis know if you would like to join them, using the contact form below.

Tribe Christmas Party @ The Lounge
Saturday, December 2nd, 6:00-8:00pm
Come join your Tribe Family for an evening of food, gift exchange ($10 or less/something homemade or cool from home), music and lots of fun! Bring a friend and a favorite Christmas dish to share. We will also be decorating for the party earlier in the day. Please come out and help, if you can! Hi all!

Happy Friday!

Hope you all are having a good week!

Our next worship gathering at the Golden Gate rec center will be next weekend on Sunday November 12th from 4:30-6pm.

No gathering this weekend on November 5th so we encourage you to join us for worship at Berkeley Tribe in the morning at 11am.

You are invited to our Thanksgiving celebration at Steve & Audrey's house on Sunday November 19th from 5-7:30pm. Be on the look out for an Evite for that soon.

We are also having a Christmas party at Steve & Audrey's on Saturday December 16th at 5pm, so mark your calendars for that as well!

And we are helping to sponsor our neighborhood holiday party on Sunday December 9th! We would love for you to come and there are opportunities to help out if you like as well. So many gatherings around the holidays, I love it!

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Have you been wondering how to better connect to the community Tribe lives and worship in? Consider serving for one of these exciting events:

Playgroups!
Join us for a picnic lunch and help promote Trybe's Science and Literacy Play Group in Southwest Berkeley
Sunday, October 29th, 1:00pm
This Sunday after service we will meet for a picnic lunch at Strawberry Park in southwest Berkeley (1260 Allston Way, Between Bancroft and West Street in Southwest Berkeley) and then canvas the Neighborhood with fliers promoting our new Science and Literacy Playgroup for ages 0-5. So pick up some food (and maybe something to share) and join us on a beautiful Sunday afternoon!

9th Annual Halloween in the Park! 4pm-7pm
Tuesday, October 31st @ Bella Vista Park
Halloween is Trybe's main event of the year. Halloween is the perfect time for community to come together and be neighbors and friends. When else do we let our little children knock on neighbors' doors and ask for a treat?! It's a wonderful experience for all, especially in an area where trick or treating doesn't just happen. The community works to create this safe space for children and families to have a Halloween experience in their own neighborhood and not have to travel to wealthier areas. Over 50 Oakland High school students will be out to help make the party happen for the children.

Please join us on Halloween, 4-7p in Bella Vista Park (2631 11th Ave, Oakland) or for this Saturday's prep and clean-up in the park, 9a-noon.
