NorOak Tribe Weekly News, January 6, 2018

Hi all,

Happy Saturday! And Happy New Year! Hope 2018 is treating you well so far.

I'm looking forward to what God has in store for us as a community this year. He's done a lot of great things this past year in bringing more wholeness to many of us, setting us free in different ways, providing for so many of our needs like housing, jobs, etc., and making his gracious presence known to us through the challenges that many of us faced this last year. And he's done so much of that through our community, our relationships with one another. I'm hopeful that 2018 will bring more of the same.

We are continuing our monthly gatherings at the Golden Gate Recreation Center on the second Sunday of each month from 4:30-6pm.

Hello! We hope this update finds you well. Maybe you're sitting at an end of the year party or a New Years party and need some introvert time... well, we're here to save you! Lol... Just kidding. ;) But we did include a lot, so apologies for the lengthiness...

During this Christmas season, there have been many Christmas programs going on and visitors, and I (Kohei) was easily caught up with the busy schedule. But in the midst of the busy schedule, I tried to stop and remind myself what the birth of Christ means to me before I shared that with others. ...

Tribe Happenings - Happy New Year!

Hi Tribe Family,

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, and are looking forward to a great new year in 2018!

First of all, thank you for your partnership in the work God is doing through Tribe here in the Bay Area and around the world! He has been doing a lot this year for sure! Your financial gifts have played a part in allowing this work to happen, thank you so much for your generosity.

We invite you to complete any planned giving for 2017 by December 31, or consider a special year-end gift to help us close the deficit by the end of the year.

As far as when to make sure to get your gifts to us, as long as the check is dated and/or postmarked no later than 12/31/17 we can count it toward 2017 giving and include it in your tax deductible giving receipt for 2017. This includes checks sent in the mail or put in the offering basket at service on 12/31. Any online giving submitted no later than 11:59pm on 12/31/2017 can also be included for 2017.
