Tribe Fall Planning Meeting and Lunch
This Sunday immediately after Service, August 12th
Summer is ending and the fall is starting up soon. This Sunday after service we will get together, hear updates about what is happening in our different ministries, plan what we would like to do this fall as a church and share a meal. It will be a great time to celebrate what God's been doing and where He is leading us. Everyone is welcome to join in and as always, we are kid friendly.

Tuesday Night Community Group
6:30-7:45pm @ the Parks
We are going to start up the Tuesday Night Homegroup again starting this coming week at the Park's house. This is a great time for community, worship and Jesus. Dinner will be provided. Tuesday nights 6:30pm-7:45pm-come out and join us! And children are welcome! Contact Andrew Park for more info.

New Time for NorOak Tribe Worship Gathering
Starting on August 12, NorOak Tribe will meet at 3 p.m. instead of 4:30 p.m. (still at the Golden Gate Recreation Center)

COMMUNITY GROUP

Science Playgroup - ON SUMMER BREAK
Tuesdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm
The science playgroup is for parents and caregivers with their children ages 0-5. Contact Karen for details (see contact form below).

Tribe Mom's Group / Playgroup @ Tribe Nursery - ON SUMMER BREAK
Thursdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm
An informal playgroup for kids age 0-5 and their parents.  Connect with other local moms while the kids play. The playgroup time is the perfect space to invite your neighbor moms to join us. Address: 2509 Hillegass Ave, Berkeley, 94704. Contact Tamela for more information (see contact form below).

NorOak Playgroup @ Golden Gate Rec Center - ON SUMMER BREAK
Wednesdays from 10am to 11:45am
A playgroup for parents/caregivers with their children ages 0 to 5. Join us for free play, circle time, singing, reading, arts/crafts, gardening, outdoor play and a chance to get know other families from the neighborhood. Happy Wednesday!

Our next worship gathering is this Sunday August 12th @ the Golden Gate Rec Center at a new time: 3:00-4:30pm. Here's the facebook event link: https://www.facebook.com/events/197161857823344/

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE NEW TIME: 3:00-4:30PM. :)

As we start in on our new series this fall discovering the way Jesus surprised people and brought the unexpected, I'm hoping to restart up post on my blog. Check it out, hopefully it will spur you on to reflect yourself on what God is up to in your life and how you can participate in his tribe. :) Here's the link to the blog: psteveblog.wordpress.com

Also, mark your calendars for our annual backpacking trip, September 14-16th, up near Lake Tahoe. Let us know if you are interested in going!

Several folks have also expressed a desire to get together weekly on a weekday evening to learn more about the Bible and discuss how it can impact our everyday lives.

Let me know if you might be interested in that and if so which evening might work best for you.

National Night Out Block Party
Tuesday, August 7, from 6pm to 8pm
at Bella Vista Recreation Area (2631 11th Ave., Oakland)
Get to know your neighbors at our NNO Potluck! Bring a dish to share. There will be a jumper, neighbors, potluck food, and music.
